The aim of the WA Alternative Education Forum (AEF) is to improve education, training and employment outcomes for all young people aged 13-19 years of age, through better planning, coordination and delivery of Alternative Education, by practitioners, program managers and policy makers.

The AEF seeks to showcase the diversity of Alternative education programs in the region to the mainstream education and training audience. Many educators are unaware of all alternatives to mainstream curriculum and as a side to this, the program will lift the profile of alternative education programs as a valued and integral part of the education and training system in Western Australia.
