Information about data

The information about data and data collection included on Enabling Spaces is not intended to be comprehensive. The examples below are provided to show the source of Program Objectives, which in turn are linked to Connection, Capacity and Meaning (the Making Enabling Spaces Framework) via Descriptors. We have also included some of the tools (here called Instruments) used by organisations to collect this data, thereby linking the measurement framework to existing tools and practice in the sector.

Providing information about data also helps to highlight the diversity of existing practice in the sector. Organisations use a range of tools and techniques for evaluating their work, including pre- and post-program surveys and activity evaluations, with different questions, data collection techniques, timeframes and respondents. Such diversity makes generalisations and direct comparisons difficult.
