Participation, Information & Engagement (PIE), is a program where young people from a range of cultural backgrounds come together on a fortnightly basis at the Springvale Neighbourhood House.

PIE draws upon theatre sports as an effective method to engage young people and explore various issues and subjects of interest such as housing, employment, culture, personal and community safety, rights and responsibilities and health and wellbeing.

PIE aims to build confidence, self-esteem and team building skills whilst providing an opportunity for young people to relax in a safe environment. This program has a strong emphasis on community engagement and being part of the broader community.

Participation, Information & Engagement was first funded as a pilot in 2011 by City of Greater Dandenong through the CALD [culturally and linguistically diverse] Youth Inclusion funding. In 2012, funding for PIE was derived from City of Greater Dandenong's Community Grants Program and the philanthropic trust the R.E. Ross Trust.
