OSCAR is an online statistical collection tool. Organisations in receipt of federally funded Settlement grants are required to record and submit information about their direct client contacts using OSCAR.

OSCAR was designed to make information on client contacts with federally funded organisations available on a consistent and national basis. This information is used for the purpose of identifying the number and demographics of clients who receive Settlement grants funded services and the type of services they access. The information provided from OSCAR contributes to needs based planning; responses to Parliamentary, media and public inquiries; and alignment of statistical information with each organisation's Work Program.

A funded organisations' access to OSCAR will be limited to the ability to enter, retrieve and edit only their own client contact information. Funded organisations can receive reports of the data they have entered.
